Art in the Park

One of the recent events in El Paso was the Art in the Park held in the Memorial Park in May, this year (2010). Art in the Park is a fair where Elpasoans meet with friends, watch live performances of different local dancers, listen to live music, participate in a raffle, take advantage of low-priced high-quality crafts sold under the open sky and sell their own works of art.

For many book lovers the main attraction of this event is the book fair, organized by Friends of the Memorial Library. One can find books on any subject (fiction and non-fiction) at a very low price. The Friends also set a special time of the day when people can buy $2 plastic bags and stuff them with as many books as they can carry.

This event usually lasts two days. If you missed Art in the Park this time, do not miss the next one in September this year.
