Dear Tanya,
My husband wants to list our home for sale, but I think we’re smart enough to do the job ourselves. If we do For Sale by Owner, we can save the commission and net more money for the next house. What do you think? -Penny Wise
Dear Penny,
FSBO’s work sometimes, but statistics show that more than 90% of sellers end up listing with a professional REALTOR anyway. After they spend a small fortune on marketing, they eventually unfurl the white flag and turn their properties over to professionals. Effectively, they pay twice to sell the same home. Those sellers that do succeed in finding a ready, willing, and able buyer soon learn that most buyers aren’t shy about “adjusting ” the price downward by the typical commission. They know the FSBO’s main motivation is saving the REALTOR’S fee, and they expect the seller to pass on the savings.
El Paso- Artists on Dec. 11 had the chance to express themselves by helping to raise food and clothes for the homeless at the former “Saddle Blanket” building. Artist MYKER stated, “I dig it man, we really needed this. Otherwise we would be f...king s..t up on the streets... Legally”.
Artist Francella Salgado said “I think its awesome, its not only beautifying an old building that has been sitting here for a long time. You know, just looking run down. But it’s also a food and clothing drive. So it’s cool, its not just for the purpose of showing things. It's also to help people out too.”

Like some masters of the past, Jonathan Villalobos generally kept his art paintings under wraps from the public; until now! CityBeat hereby exclusively reveals his past, present and future as a quasi-surrealistic visionary.
“I started penciling comic book and cartoon characters,” reveals Villalobos. He then moved on to graphic novel type drawings in the vein of Alex Ross which ushered him into oil painted realism.

During Naomi Gonzalez’s campaign for the office of Texas State Representative for District 76, a recurring theme was voiced from the residents of the Alameda Corridor. That recurring theme entailed asking for her assistance in an effort to address the issues plaguing the Alameda Corridor. As part of her campaign, Naomi Gonzalez promised that she would do whatever was in her power to provide that assistance. The project for the Alameda Corridor is the result of that commitment.
In recognition of the need for an international commission to address border health problems, the United States-México Border Health Commission (BHC) was created in July of 2000 to provide international leadership to optimize health and quality of life along the U.S.-México border.
